AdrianBrown has been involved in more than 500 groundwater projects, ranging from water supply, dewatering, water control, injection, impact, solute transport, and remediation. We frequently perform investigations of groundwater systems, and use the results of those investigations to evaluate the performance of the system, often using groundwater modeling. We are often involved in the practical application of our work, in developing water supplies, dewatering mines, and remediating contaminated groundwater systems. The following is a sampling of our projects: Sleeper Mine Dewatering System, Nevada: Investigation, design, and implementation of the dewatering system used to initially dewater the overburden and shallow bedrock at the Sleeper Gold Mine. Midwest Uranium Mine Inflow/Dewatering, Saskatchewan: Investigation, evaluation, and modeling of inflow and water disposal requirements to an underground uranium mine beneath highly sensitive lake land; preparation of water portion of an EIS for mining. Lamefoot Underground Mine Groundwater Evaluation, Washington: Investigation, modeling, evaluation of groundwater impact, mine inflow, and mine refilling conditions for an underground gold mine EA located adjacent to a sensitive lake environment. Lisbon Valley Pit Inflow and Water Supply Evaluation, Utah: Analysis, investigation, modeling, and regulatory presentation of impacts of mining on water flow and quality; evaluation of water supply from deep aquifers. Kennecott Utah Copper Groundwater Evaluation, Utah: Remedial design and engineering for groundwater contaminated by over a century of mine-related discharges. Barrick Goldstrike Mine Dewatering Evaluation, Nevada: Evaluation of dewatering requirements and monitoring of impacts of dewatering on groundwater resources due to a major gold mine development. Wharf Resources Groundwater Permitting, South Dakota: Groundwater discharge permitting for a major gold development in the Black Hills, including operational monitoring and remedial design. Deerwood Park Water Supply System, Colorado: Design and implementation of groundwater supply for a mountain subdivision located on shale. Lignite Mine Dewatering, Victoria, Australia: Evaluation and review of dewatering system and effects of dewatering for major coal mine developments in south-east Australia. USNRC High Level Nuclear Waste Disposal Licensing Hydrogeology, DC: Technical assistance for groundwater flow and solute transport licensing for geologic disposal of high level nuclear waste.
